Celebrating Prudence Donovan: Ruby Manor's First Practitioner in Residence

Prudence Donovan is a psychic witch and a gifted seer. Her sight is deeply rooted in her Celtic and French lineage, honed over decades through rigorous study and profound introspection. Welcoming Prudence to Ruby Manor as our first Practitioner in Residence has been one of the greatest honors of my life. The seed was sown at Beltane when my dear childhood friend, James Dillon III, introduced us. Despite our guarded natures, Prudence and I cautiously shared pieces of ourselves and performed ritual together. I could immediately feel her power and knew almost instantly that I wanted her to help grow Covenstead. At the time, all I could offer her was space and a small stipend. Nervous and self-conscious, I made the ask—and to my delight, she said yes.

During the Beltane season, Prudence worked her magic to create a digital presence for Prudent Readings. At the Summer Solstice, she was officially inducted as Ruby Manor’s first Practitioner in Residence. Over the past six months, she has poured her heart into this space, offering love, friendship, advice, and care not only to me but also to the community. Prudence’s masterful astrological readings and spot-on tarot insights have touched many lives. Each Sunday, in her signature no-nonsense style, she has tended to members of our community, offering wisdom and healing with grace. In this time, I have witnessed her blossom.

Now, as the wheel has turned to the Yule season, it is bittersweet to bid her farewell. Prudence and her beloved, Mason, are embarking on a new adventure – The Lucky Rabbit’s Tarot Tour. These two little bunnies, who have grown so dear to me, are leaving the cozy den to share their light far and wide. Though my heart aches as their departure looms, we have both been blessed with the Irish Gift of Gab. I know we’ll stay in touch as she and Mason sow seeds of hope and trans joy abroad.
