Ruby Manor (she/her) is an iconic historic home in the Knightville neighborhood. It was erected in the year 1900 by former South Portland Mayor George H. Weeks, Jr., on Wabanaki Confederation territory. Most notably remembered as a “flop house” and "beer hall" serving the local shipbuilders, it has housed countless families, local businesses, eateries, and creative ventures.
In 2017, Kiley and Sam Wilkens-O'Brien became the stewards of the historic village commercial property. The creative couple has worked tirelessly to address decades of neglect while infusing their signature styles into restoration efforts. Kiley's whimsical-yet-macabre designs and Sam's Baltimore underground aesthetic converge beautifully upon the federal style canvas. The old house feels like it has absorbed the essence of its artist owners.
Today, Ruby Manor continues its legacy of community gathering in Knightville. A sanctuary for friends, neighbors, and rebels with aligned values to create, cultivate, and freely express themselves. It is a place of protection and deep connection.
